Andrew Foster
1790 - 1870
Andrew Foster (Forster) was born in 1790, in the Buffalo Valley of Lancaster (now Union) Country, Pennsylvania. He was a son of Andrew Foster (1751 - 1817) and Eleanor Graham (1750 - 1810). Andrew Foster (Sr.) was the son of John and Margaret (Young) Foster who settled in the Buffalo Valley before the Revolutionary War, and was the grandson of Thomas and Christina Foster who were natives of Northern Ireland. The family moved to Turbot County and was active in the historic Warriors Run Presbyterian Church.
On March 26, 1829, the younger Andrew Foster was married to Rachael McMichael (1804 - 1884) at Derry, Pennsylvania. her Parents were John and Mary (McAffee) McMichael.
Andrew and Rachael Foster removed in 1831 to Lyme Township in Huron County, Ohio and then in 1833 to Beardsley's Prairie in Cass County, Michigan. They were the parents of 10 children. Andrew Foster died on November 30, 1870, in Cass County. Rachael Foster died there on April 26, 1884.
