Mildred Frances Tucker
Mildred Frances Tucker was born at Wichita, Kansas, the youngest of the three daughters of John H. and Claire E. (Miller) Tucker. Mildred graduated from Wichita High School and Fairmont College (now Wichita State University) with a degree in home economics. She was president of her college sorority, Sororsis (now Delta Delta Delta). Mildred taught one year at Attica High School, did graduate study at the University of Kansas, and worked 2 1/2 years in Wichita for the dry goods company where her father was an officer.
Mildred was married in New York City to Thomas Lloyd Foster, of Harper County, Kansas and then a medical student at Columbia University. Mildred was employed by an import company in New York. When Tom finished his internship, the Fosters returned to Kansas where Tom Foster practiced medicine at Wichita (1931-32), Larned (1932-40), Osawatomie (1940-1941), Halstead (1941-60) and Ponca City Oklahoma. The Fosters celebrated their golden anniversary in 1977.
Mildred is a past matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, past-president of her P.E.Od. chapters in Halstead and Ponca City, and has been active in other clubs and church organizations.

Mildred and Thomas Foster are the parents of three children, who are Betty Claire (Foster) Yohe, Richard Tucker Foster and Robert Thomas Foster.
