Claire Estelle Miller
1872 - 1958

Claire Estelle Miller was born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, on June 18, 1872, the eldest daughter of George N. Miller and Emily Mott.

Claire was known as "Carrie" to her parents. At age 17, having completed her schooling, she accompanied her family to their new farm home South of Zenda, Kansas. She lelt home to attend business school in Wichita, but it is unknown if she did so.

Claire was married to John Handley Tucker in Kingman, Kansas, on June 8, 1892. John was then 25 years of age his bride was nineteen. Their photograghs were made about the time of there marrage.

The Tuckers had three daughters Bertha Charlene Tucker, Helen Marguerite Metzker, wife of Fred Blaine Metzger, and Mildred Frances Tucker, following , wife of Thomas L. Foster .

Claire Tucker died on February 28,1958, at age 85 and entombed in Old Mission Mausoleum , Wichita, Kansas.
